I had to describe pros and cons in life, and I wrote that people see only bad stuff in a person, the good things are always left behind. Now, I put Hitler for example. This is what I wrote: 'We only know Adolf Hitler for his crimes. Maybe he had helped a nation to a large degree, but we don't know that because people are only concentrated on negative acts of any person.' My teacher told me that it is an illogical example because he did so many crimes and she couldn't even think about the good deeds. BUT THAT'S WHAT i WROTE ABOUT! I have googled Hitler's good acts and this is what came out:
He was very intelligent. He also did pull Germany out of the economic wreck it was in and he did provide for the German people. Many actually did like him truly. Also he was anti-Communist.
It was Hitler who banned smoking on buses and trains. Who refused to issue ration coupons for tobacco to pregnant women. It was Hitler – Hitler! – who cracked down on tobacco advertising and decreed that tobacco advertising could not portray smoking as a glamorous, masculine pastime.
He engaged france and England in a very heavy war. hence so many countries in asia and africa got freedom.
He was a brilliant speaker, a great economist, a great strategist, a skilled propagandist, was an environmentalist, animal rights advocate and a vegeterian, breast cancer campaigner,
Believed in and pushed science and technology, cancer research (linking tobacco with cancer), infrastructure development, solar energy, jet propulsion, Volkswagen beetle
BTW I got B instead of A just because I wrote Hitler had a positive side. Thanks Mrs. Walner, that's so nice of you!
